Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) is the first step when starting data analysis. You explore your data sets to 'get a feel' for the variables involved and whether your data entails certain patterns. Sometimes, EDA is also associated with data cleaning and wrangling; this is not part of this EDA workshop, but of our 'Introduction to Data Science with R' workshop.

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to
ÌýÌýÌýÌý > use different visualization tools to analyze distributions and correlations
ÌýÌýÌýÌý > know and apply different ways to treat missing data
ÌýÌýÌýÌý > apply classification and standardization methods
ÌýÌýÌýÌý > apply different pattern discovery tools (projection/dimensionality reduction and clustering)

Pre-requisites? Familiarity with basic concepts in R

Date: Monday January 17, 2022
Time: 1PM to 3PM
Location: online (weÌýwill send you a Zoom link before the workshop starts)
Instructor: Tim Elrick

This workshop is offered for free by the Faculty of Science to the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ community. Due to the limited amount of spots available, if you sign up for a workshop and don't show up, you will not be allowed to attend another workshop this semester.
