Brenda Milner nominated one of 25 "Transformational Canadians"
The search is on to find 25 living citizens whose accomplishments answer that question. Through their vision, leadership and actions, each of these people has immeasurably improved the lives of others. This fall, the Transformational Canadians program will choose exceptional individuals drawn from across six fields: business, science and technology, the environment, education, health care and the community. All 25 must combine a passion for positive change with the discipline and focus to achieve outstanding results. Nominated is Brenda Milner, professor in the department of neurology and neurosurgery at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University. She is widely attributed with creating the field of cognitive neuroscience, the study of the brain and behaviour, for her fundamental contributions to the science of memory and cognitive functioning.
