Jarisz finshes 8th at CIS wrestling championships
MONTREAL -- ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ wrestler Drew Jarisz of Victoria, B.C., lost
all all our of his matches to place 8th overall at the CIS
championships in Calgary last weekend.
Jarisz, a political science sophomore, had qualified after
finishing second at the Atlantic University Sport championships.
Fighting in the 76 kg weight class, beat a wrestler from Memorial
by pin using a spectacular five-point suplay after after losing to
his opponent from Concordia.
Sean Stidwill of Ottawa finished third at the same AUS wrestling
competition on Feb. 16,
Stidwill, a management soophomore, lost both his matches in the 82
kg weight class. He was pinned in his second match against his
opponents from Memorial University of Newfoundland although he won
the second round.
