Marc-André Gagnon: Rising Star
Marc-André Gagnon, who is currently pursuing postdoctoral research at the Faculty with Professor Richard Gold, has been awarded a 2009-2010 Rising Star Award for his initiative "Modèle d'affaire de l'industrie pharmaceutique: Profits fondés sur le contrôle du savoir médical" from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
This award Ìýis designed to recognize the research excellence and innovative knowledge translation initiatives of graduate students and post-doctoral Fellows studying in health services and policy research at a Canadian institution.
With this award, Gagnon will be presenting his research at the 2010 Canadian Association for Health Services and Policy Research (CAHSPR) conference this May in Toronto.
He was also recently awarded a fellowship from Harvard's Safra Foundation Center for Ethics. Gagnon currently lectures at the Faculty of Law of ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University and, this June, he will be taking up a tenure-track position at Carleton University's School of Public Policy and Administration.
