Ten ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Law students head to Shantou University thanks to Li Ka Shing Foundation
Thanks to a generous donation from the Li Ka Shing Foundation (Canada) to ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University, ten students from ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s Faculty of Law and ten students in Shantou University’s Law School (Guangdong Province, China), will be doing a summer law program together from May 19 to 30. The program, which alternates between Montreal and Shantou, will take place in China this year.
The ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Shantou Summer Program aspires to offer ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ and Shantou law students a forum to gain a nuanced understanding of each other’s political, social, and legal institutions, cultures and traditions, in a collaborative fashion. The program will feature 10 days of intense course work and several joint seminars, along with visits around Guangdong province.
This year's students are: Jennifer Anderson, Colin Bourrier, Claire Boychuk, Jonathan Brosseau-Rioux, Sheel Chaudhuri, Katarina Daniels, Emily Hazlett, James Mccarthy, Alexandra Olshefsky, and Alba Zuniga Ramos. They will be joined by Assistant Dean Véronique Bélanger and Professor Nandini Ramanujam.
