URGENT: EMERGENCY WATER SHUTDOWN

Published: 7 July 2008

Please be advised that due to an accidental break of a main water distribution line, a major emergency water shutdown is in effect immediately (July 7, 2008, 13:00). We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and anticipate that this emergency shutdown will be in effect for 6 to 8 hours.

During this period, the following buildings will be evacuated and closed as they will have no fire protection, emergency showers and eye-wash stations:

  • FDA
  • Wilson Hall
  • Arts Building
  • Dawson Hall
  • McConnell Engineering
  • Macdonald Engineering
  • Redpath Museum

An assessment of the water pressure available to the following buildings is being conducted. If a shutdown of these buildings is required, we will send a follow-up notice.

  • Administration Building
  • James Ferrier
  • Power House

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. We hope to have water restored within the shortest time possible.
