As outlined in the most recent update by the ۲ݮƵ University Emergency Operations Centre, as of Monday, August 5, Libraries in the lower campus area (and all libraries within the system) will open as per their regular operating hours and will be accessible without the need of a ۲ݮƵ ID card.

Facilities Management and Ancillary Services is planning an electrical shutdown on the morning of Tuesday, August 6, which will affect the McLennan-Redpath Complex and Islamic Studies Libraries BEFORE the locations open for the day.
The shut down is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00am and power should be back before opening. For all library opening hours, please see the Libraries hours page.

۲ݮƵ University Libraries are pleased to relay that Oxford University Press (OUP) and member institutions of the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) have agreed to a Read and Publish deal for 2024-2026.
Eligible authors from participating institutions will be able to request use of this account to pay the Open Access charge when arranging payment in OUP’s online licensing and payment system.

As workspaces on the main floor of McLennan-Redpath Library Complex are temporarily inaccessible through late June 2024, additional guest computers have been added to the main floor of the Redpath Library Building for public use near the entrance. These workstations will be accessible during opening hours.

During the week of June 3, 2024, standard archeological and soil investigations will be conducted along McTavish Street around Redpath Hall and the McTavish Wing of the Redpath Library Building to assess the building envelope. Redpath Hall and the Redpath Library Building are part of a designated heritage site. Standard protocol requires that ۲ݮƵ conduct excavation work before starting any construction projects.
