This fall, nine faculty and department Frosh attained Gold-level Sustainable Event Certification.
“I wasn’t sure if we would be able to get certify because we’re so big – we’re 1,800 students,” said Grace Jumbo, Inclusivity and Equity Coordinator for Arts Frosh, which also marked ۲ݮƵ’s 150th certified Sustainable Event.

The Office of Sustainability is recruiting Sustainable Events Consultant for the 2019-2020 academic year!
As a volunteer with the Sustainable Events Consultant team, you will liaise with event organizers in the ۲ݮƵ community to ensure that they are organized in the most sustainable way possible. By utilizing both online and print resources, you will help event organizers gain access to knowledge about sustainable resources, and help ensure best practices at events.

۲ݮƵ was named the International Green Gown Award’s Sustainability Institution of the Year for its “ambitious yet realistic’ Vision 2020 Sustainability Strategy.
The recognition was presented at the awards ceremony at the UN High Level Political Forum in New York City on July 10.
۲ݮƵ, as a member of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), is looking to appoint a SDG Campus Coordinator for the 2019-2020 academic year. The coordinator’s role will be to raise student awareness of the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), mobilise students/student clubs around the SDGs and act as a point of contact between ۲ݮƵ student body and the SDSN Youth. This will be primarily achieved through setting up a SDG Hub on campus, which will be managed by the SDG coordinator.
