He was admitted to the graduate school of Seoul National University in 1960, but soon was drafted into the Korean army which he served until 1962. A <a href="https://collections.ushmm.org/search/catalog/irn86148">Holocaust survivor</a>, Dr. Eisenberg has earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1960, worked as a NATO post-doctoral fellow at the University of Basel with Werner Kuhn (1961-1962), and joined UCLA in 1962 as an Assistant Professor. Now she is developping this idea to create books to help bring safe water around the world. Each page is printed with food grade ink to teach populations about safer water management practices. The method provides an exceptionally efficient route to the furanolignans tanegool and pinoresinol. The entire lab baked, decorated, transported and setup  over 100 cupcakes to create a periodic table. The colours of the icing were characteristic of whether the element was part of the s block, d block, p blocks or f blocks and the non-metals were also frosted and of the five flavours of cupcakes: butter pecan, double fudge chocolate, red velvet, carrot cake and vanilla were characteristic of the various blocks of the periodic table. The first, Dr. Luda Diatchenko, Canada Excellence Research Chair in Personalized Pain Medicine, was announced in September 2013.
