The 2018 Mystery Masquerade Outreach Gala

The Mystery Masquerade Outreach Gala went above and beyond this year hosting an unforgettable night. The year’s event was the largest gala to date, with 248 guests on hand. The event generated $11,609 to donate to the Service to the Community fund in support of our mobile and satellite clinics.

The Mystery Masquerade Outreach Gala went above and beyond this year hosting an unforgettable night. The year’s eventwas the largest gala to date, with 248 guests on hand. The event generated$11,609 to donate to the Service to the Community fund in support of our mobile and satellite clinics.

The evening was held in the majestic St. James Theater,a classified heritage building that offers breathtaking architecture. It is also one of Montreal’s newest high-end venues for private events. “We chose this space and its capacity because wanted to do the Service to the Community program justice and give it the celebration it deserved,” says Luc Boutin, member of the organising committee.We wanted to show our pride in the program that we have thechance to participatein during ourfour years here at ۲ݮƵ dentistry. It is incredibly rewarding and we are so proud to be attending a school that has such a strong positive effect in vulnerablecommunities inMontreal.”Throughout the evening guests enjoyed performances by professional artists including a magician and an acrobat.

This year’s event was organised by six DMD II students, Caroline Abi-Azar, Luc Boutin, Sébastien Michaud, Quynh-Anh Nguyen, Zahra Talat and Marie-FloreVallières, and 10 more volunteers who pitched in on the day of to make sure that everything was in place when guests arrived. When asked what advice they have for next year’s organising committee they had unanimously one piece of advice: “Start early!”.
