Ernie Ambrose Lecture
ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Dentistry alumni and friends are invited to join us for the annual Ernie Ambrose Lecture Series. The series continues to spark the discussion and exchange of ideas amongst alumni.

Speaker Bio:
Dr. Johnson is a dual degree board certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. After obtaining the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University in Canada in 1989, Dr. Johnson joined the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor. He was responsible for the Northern Outreach Program, including the teaching and supervision of dental students from the University of Toronto and University of Western Ontario. He also served as Dental Surgeon-in-Chief at the Moose Factory General Hospital during that time.
In June of 1995, Dr. Johnson obtained the Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College, following which he completed 3 years of residency training in general surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He obtained formal training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.
He has been in private practice in Ottawa since 2001 and also serves as a member of the Faculty of Dentistry's Admissions Committee at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University. Dr. Johnson is an active member of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His area of special interest is Facial Trauma and Reconstruction.
Dr. Johnson is married to Dr. Anita Brown-Johnson, Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University, Associate Chief of Family Medicine and Director of the Secondary Care Division at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University Health Center. They are proud parents of Anastasia and Nicholas.
