History Corner: Celebrating 100 Years of the Department of Medicine

Did you know? Dr. William Foulkes, a cancer geneticist at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ for over 30 years, identified PALB2 as a crucial breast cancer gene. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (FRSC) and one of the most highly cited members of the Department of Medicine. Currently serving as Chair of the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Department of Human Genetics, he is also a recipient of the Wilder-Penfield Prix du Québec.

This Fall, we’re celebrating a century of achievements in the DOM by highlighting significant events, influential figures and landmark publications in our newsletter as well as at MGRs on November 26, 2024.
