Congratulations to Dr. Emily McDonald for being selected as a co-laureate of the 2023 Maude Abbott Prize.

The Faculty of Medicine established this award in 2010 to recognize outstanding female faculty members at an early career stage who have excelled and demonstrated great leadership in education, research or administration.

Congratulations to Dr. Nitika Pant Pai for being selected as a laureate of the 2023 Haile T. Debas Prize.

The Faculty of Medicine established this award in 2010 to recognize outstanding faculty members who have worked hard to help promote diversity and create an environment of inclusivity.

Congratulations to Dr. Ana-Maria Copaescu for receiving the 2022 Canada Gairdner Early Career Investigator Award.

This award recognizes quality of research and extraordinary contributions made in advancing knowledge and scholarship in Canada and around the world.

Congratulations to Dr. Andrey Cybulsky for being awarded one of Canada's highest research honours, the 2023 Kidney Foundation of Canada Medal for Research Excellence.

Each year, the Foundation presents the Medal of Research Excellence to a Canadian researcher who is recognized nationally and internationally for excellence in kidney-related research. To date, there have been a total of 29 recipients, of whom Dr. Cybulsky is the first from ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ.

Congratulations to Dr. Isabelle Malhamé for receiving funding from the Government of Canada (specifically, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research - CIHR) over the next four years to improve healthcare for women and gender-diverse people.

Dr. Malhamé and her team will help implement the new National Women’s Health Research Initiative to address under-researched and high-priority areas of women’s health.
