Cindy Goodyer, Ph.D.
Cindy Goodyer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and an Associate Member of the Division of Experimental Medicine. Her research interests have evolved over the years, from (i) development of the human hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and placental endocrinology; to (ii) determining the mechanisms regulating expression of the human growth hormone receptor gene in childhood growth, obesity and cancer; and, most recently, to (iii) characterizing the effects of endocrine disrupting environmental chemicals on the human reproductive system, during in utero development and in adult males and females. Her laboratory has been supported by the Medical Research Council of Canada, the CIHR, the National Cancer Institute of Canada and Health Canada. The work has involved multiple collaborations with research groups across Canada as well as in the USA, France, Germany and Japan, and has resulted in over 150 publications in peer-reviewed journals and books as well as over 200 presentations at national and international meetings.
Dr. Goodyer is the Study Lead of Aim 1.
