Dr. Robert Schleip

Psychologist, human biologist, certified Advanced Rolfer, and Feldenkrais teacher, the fascia is Dr. Schleip’s primary area of research. In 2006, his doctoral thesis on the active contractile properties in fascial tissues won the Vladimir Janda Prize for Musculoskeletal Medicine. Since then, Dr. Schleip helped create the International Fascia Congress and became Director of the Fascia Research Group at the University of Ulm, through which he continues his research on the fascia. Dr. Schleip remains Executive Research Director of the European Rolfing Association, Vice President of the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation, and Board Member of the Fascia Research Society. His work can be found in various articles and books that he wrote and published.
