There are dozens of open-source and free online circuit simulators which can be easily found, therefore many of them are not listed here.

  1. 5Spice Analysis

An easy-to-use analog circuit simulator for professional circuit designers. This engineering design tool provides Spice-specific schematic entry, as well as the ability to define and save an unlimited number of

analyses and integrated graphic of simulation results. The focus is on analog circuit analysis and design at the component level.

  1. AmpCalc

A program which calculates power cable ampacity ratings and/or cable operating temperatures for user defined cable installations. AmpCalc is suitable for cable installations utilized in industrial, commercial and utility electrical power distribution systems.

  1. BSch3V

An open source circuit design software for Windows. The name "BSch" is an abbreviation of "Basic Schematic". It has only basic functions, in order to simplify operation.

A software that leverages the power of Autodesk Inventor to deliver a fully integrated 3D CAD tool within the CableBuilder environment. Designs produced in CableBuilder can generate professional, photo-realistic images to be used in reports, datasheets, quotations or catalogues.

  1. E3.series

Zuken's E.3 series is electrical, fluid and wire harness design software, including design of wire harnesses and cable assemblies, electrical schematics and systems, fluid design for hydraulic and pneumatic systems, etc.

Elecdes Design Suite (EDS) is a feature rich set of electrical and instrumentation, design and CAD tools, which consists of several modules:

  • Elecdes, 2D electrical CAD design module used for the production of intelligent circuit diagrams including electrical schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, 1-line diagrams, cable block diagrams and loop diagrams.
  • Paneldes Panel, 3D CAD design module used for the creation of electrical panels, which facilitates and enhances construction of electrical models and electrical panel general arrangements, performs wire routing, filling, and wire length calculations.

A real-time electronic circuit simulator and designer, versatile enough to be suited to students, hobbyists, and professional electrical engineers.

  1. KiCad EDA

A Cross Platform and Open Source Electronics Design Automation Suite.

  1. Logisim

An educational tool for designing and simulating digital logic circuits. With the capacity to build larger circuits from smaller subcircuits, and to draw bundles of wires with a single mouse drag, Logisim can be used to design and simulate entire CPUs for educational purposes.

  1. LTpowerPlay

A powerful, Windows-based development environment supporting Analog Devices' Digital Power System Management (PSM) products. It supports a variety of tasks: evaluation of Analog Devices' ICs by connecting to a demo board system; building a multi-chip configuration file in an offline mode that can be saved and reloaded at a later time; diagnostic and debugging, being a valuable diagnostic tool during board bringing-up to program, or tweaking the power management scheme in a system, or diagnosing power issues when bringing up rails.

  1. LTspice

A high-performance SPICE simulation software, schematic capture and waveform viewer with enhancements and models for easing the simulation of analog circuits. Included in the download of LTspice are macromodels for a majority of Analog Devices switching regulators, amplifiers, as well as a library of devices for general circuit simulation.

  1. MultiSim

An industry-standard SPICE simulation and circuit design software from National Instruments for analog, digital, and power electronics in education and research.

  1. Ngspice

An open source spice simulator, offering a wealth of device models for active, passive, analog, and digital elements. Model parameters are provided by the semiconductor manufacturers. The user adds circuits as a netlist, and the output is one or more graphs of currents, voltages and other electrical quantities or is saved in a data file.

  1. PCSCHEMATIC platform

A set of tools that includes: PCSCHEMATIC Automation, an electrical CAD software for drawing schematics for electrical wiring diagrams, control circuit diagrams, pneumatics, and hydraulics; PCSCHEMATIC Cablemanager that keeps track of all relevant data for cables, raceways, cable glands and transits in construction projects, and keeps track of where the cables are pulled.

An open-source program for drawing electrical circuit diagrams, or schematic drawings, that supports standard and custom symbol libraries.

Software for creation of customized power supply circuits based on user’s requirements. The environment provides end-to-end power supply design capabilities that save time during all phases of the design process.

A program for drawing publishable-quality electrical circuit schematic diagrams and related figures and producing circuit netlists through schematic capture including writing both hierarchical PostScript outputs and hierarchical SPICE netlists.
