Biography: 

Hannah Korell is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of English at ۲ݮƵ University. Her work is broadly interested in understanding how the intersections of religion and horror were shaped by cultural discourses surrounding gender, race, and sexuality in early modern literature. Her FRQSC-funded dissertation, “The Spirit of the Nation: Women and Conversion in Early Modern English Drama,” explores the relationship between supernaturally empowered female characters and religious conversion in early seventeenth-century English drama.
