Fellowship in Otology and Neurotology at New York University
Dr. Kay-Rivest joined the otology and neurology team in 2022. Her expertise includes treating of a wide variety of ear pathologies (such as cholesteatoma, perforations, ossicular chain problems and otosclerosis); performing cochlear implants for hearing loss in children and adults; and operating on skull base tumours (vestibular schwannomas, meningiomas and paragangliomas).
Dr. Kay-Rivest completed her medical studies and residency at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University, followed by a two-year fellowship in otology and neurotology at New York University. There she gained extensive experience in skull base surgery, complex cochlear implants and endoscopic ear surgery.
Among Dr. Kay-Rivest’s interests are patients with neurofibromatosis type 2. Her research focuses on improving hearing rehabilitation (cochlear implants and auditory brainstem implants) in individuals with vestibular schwannomas and other retrocochlear pathologies.
