ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Alumni Webinar: COVID-19: Thinking beyond the immediate crisis

Tuesday, June 23, 2020 15:00to16:00
Webinar

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken countless lives and shaken our communities to their core. What long-term impacts and consequences will the crisis have on our health care systems? How can health care leaders navigate this new reality while restructuring the delivery of care in an abruptly transformed health environment? Given that this pandemic is the seventh international health crisis in only 20 years, what lessons can we learn, and how can we bolster our health care systems so that they are more resilient to a future crisis?

Join three prominent ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵians and authorities on global health - Dr. Joanne Liu, Dr. Madhukar Pai and Dr. Don Sheppard - as they offer their unique perspectives on the crisis and hypothesize on what happens next. This webinar will be moderated by Anudari Zorigtbaatar, a ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ medical student.

Space is limited. The link to view the webinar will be sent after registration.

ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ honours, recognizes, and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which peoples of the world now gather. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
