Health Leadership (I.M.H.L.)

Program Description

The Master of Management (M.M.) IMHL [International Masters for Health Leadership] (Non-Thesis) offered by the Desautels Faculty of Management and Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is a module-based program that emphasizes managerial and leadership learning opportunities. The program's objective is to equip students with skills in reflective management, organizational analytics, and systems-level thinking in the health sector to pursue professional opportunities (or potentially continue their studies).

Unique Program Features

  • The program focuses on international healthcare delivery challenges through management and leadership concepts, and through the lens of managerial mindsets;
  • The program is delivered in three synchronous (live) online modules, a 2-week in-person module in the United Kingdom, and a final 2-week in-person module in Montreal, a Managerial Exchange, and a non-thesis Master's degree paper;
  • The program relies on teaching methods that bring together theoretical knowledge and the application to practice in real-time; 
  • The program integrates traditional disciplines such as strategy, organizational structure and behaviour, operations management, and financial management into student's managerial mindsets, maintaining a continuous focus on leadership and management in a healthcare context; 
  • The program is the result of an initial collaboration between the Desautels Faculty of Management and ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, known worldwide for its ability to train exceptional medical leaders.

University-Level Admission Requirements

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
  • English-language proficiency
