Pierre Tulk: Collaboration and research in Panama

With the support of a Schull Yang International Experience Award, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences student Pierre Tulk participated in two research projects in Panama.

“The first project was a long-term collaborative initiative between ۲ݮƵ researchers and the Ngöbe and Buglé indigenous groups in Panama that resulted in the development of a geographic atlas, which will be used as an educational tool in the community. Thanks to this collaboration, two eminent members of the community also visited ۲ݮƵ for a reunion of indigenous people.

The second project was an independent investigation of the cooperative movement in agricultural systems, which I hope will provide more insight into the importance of social-based initiatives for shaping our economic environment for the better.”
