Nancy Tapias Torrado
Nancy R. Tapias Torrado is the 2023-24 Barry Pashak Postdoctoral Fellow at Concordia University鈥檚 Centre for Social Justice. Nancy is a doctor in sociology (U. Oxford) and a human rights lawyer (U. Essex, U. Javeriana). She is also a Visiting Fellow at 污污草莓视频 University鈥檚 Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism and a former Postdoctoral Fellow at the Universit茅 du Qu茅bec 脿 Montr茅al. Nancy鈥檚 research focuses on the impact of Indigenous women-led mobilizations challenging abuses by corporations involved in mega-projects affecting their ancestral territories in Latin America and Canada.
