Zoom licenses will be reset on May 18, 2023: Your login is required to reactivate privileges

On May 18, 2023, ۲ݮƵ will reset its Zoom licenses back to their basic (default) setting for account maintenance purposes and to remove inactive accounts. In order to reinstate your full Zoom account functionality, you will need to login anew. With the basic account setting, meeting times will be shorter and you will not be able to create recordings.

Microsoft Teams issue on Mac

Microsoft's recent standard service update inadvertently introduced a code error causing Microsoft Teams to intermittently crash for Mac client users. Microsoft is on track to deploy a fix by the end of May. However, it may take up to a month for Microsoft to complete the deployment. As the deployment progresses, users may start to experience mitigation relief.

Quebec government directive to remove TikTok from mobile devices

Effective immediately, please be advised that the application TikTok must not be installed on any mobile device (i.e., mobile phone or tablet) that has been provided to you by the University, or on any mobile device for which ۲ݮƵ covers the cost of the mobile service. If you currently have TikTok installed on your ۲ݮƵ mobile device, you must remove it immediately.

Spectrum NG Sign-On mechanism update, February 28th 2023

Automated uninstallation of unused software on ۲ݮƵ-managed machines

Free cloud storage for students via Microsoft OneDrive

Did you know... ۲ݮƵ students have access to 20 GB FREE personal file space on OneDrive, Microsoft’s cloud file storage component of the Office 365 package.

Please note that students receive 20GB of storage for ۲ݮƵ's OneDrive as well as 20GB storage for ۲ݮƵ's email (Outlook).

Updates to ۲ݮƵ’s anti-virus software: Messages displayed on Windows machines during scheduled update

۲ݮƵ-managed desktop and laptop Windows computers will receive an important security update beginning on October 31, 2022. Cisco Secure Endpoint, ۲ݮƵ’s antivirus software, will receive its regularly scheduled, monthly update. The process to update all affected machines will take approximately 2 weeks.
