A Non-Specialist Treatment Model for Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) in Canadian Carceral Settings: A Telemedical Focus | MGHJ

May 12, 2023 | Julian Lam, a Master of Public Policy candidate at the Max Bell School of Public Policy, was one of the authors that were featured in the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Journal of Global Health. His article highlighted a non-specialist treatment model for Hepatitis C virus in Canada. Despite being a high prevalence context, Canadian corrections facilities have largely failed to provide adequate care for those with HCV due to their reliance on traditional treatment models. It had become imperative that Canada prioritizes high prevalence populations, and in turn, looks to more efficient and targeted models of HCV care for these individuals.
