Most students and graduates of ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s medicine, nursing and physical and occupational therapy programs are able to ease into their professions during the first few years of practice. But the COVID-19 pandemic changed all that.

Join us for a fascinating conversation with three remarkable women – a medical resident and two young graduates from nursing and occupational therapy – who were pressed into service on Montreal’s COVID-19 hospital wards as the city’s healthcare institutions were overwhelmed with a surge in coronavirus patients. How did they cope with the challenges and anxieties of working on the front lines of the pandemic? What steps did they take to ensure that they remained healthy? How has the experience shaped their views on healthcare delivery?

With:

Dr. Annick Berard-Giasson, third-year resident in anesthesiology; President of the Association of Residents of ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ.
Jaclyn Stevenson, MScAOT’19; Occupational Therapist, ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University Health Centre.
Palmina Montanaro, BSc’14, BScN’17; Nurse at the Jewish General Hospital.
