Dr. Gerald Fried is the Director of the Steinberg Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning, and Associate Dean, Education Technology & Innovation in the Faculty of Medicine at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University. Professor of Surgery and previous Surgeon-in-Chief of the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University Health Centre, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Cross in 2019 by the Governor General of Canada in recognition for his leadership in the development of Minimally Invasive Surgery in Canada.
Dr. Fried will discuss innovative and interactive technologies being used at the Steinberg Centre–one of the most comprehensive medical skills simulation and learning facilities in Canada–to support the education of students, healthcare professionals, and the community at large.
