Diagnosis of dementia is still a major challenge globally, with an estimated 75% of cases still going undiagnosed and long wait times.
A team of ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ experts, led by Drs. Pedro Rosa-Neto, Serge Gauthier, José A. Morais and Ms. Claire Webster, were commissioned by to deliver the World Alzheimer Report 2021, Journey through the diagnosis of dementia.
The ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ team’s combined experience and expertise in research, care, education and lived experience in dementia-related illnesses has resulted in a tangible, meaningful and inclusive report on the diagnosis of dementia. It includes over 50 essays from leading experts around the world, and is supported by findings from three key surveys sent globally to clinicians, people with dementia and their care partners, and national Alzheimer and dementia associations.
