Understanding and Navigating the Challenges of a Person Living with Dementia

This public online conference is open to all and aims to raise awareness and provide basic information about Alzheimer's disease and other dementia-related illnesses.

During the first part of the presentation, Dr. Serge Gauthier, a clinical neurologist, will talk about the medical side of the disease, sharing new tools for diagnosing and treating Alzheimer's or related diseases.

Next, Ms. Claire Webster, a former caregiver and certified dementia care consultant, will share practical tips on how to care for a person living with dementia. She will address important considerations to ensure the safety and well-being of both the individual as well as the care partner, and will help families understand and access the resources needed to navigate this disease.

During the presentation, space will be given for sharing experiences.

Hay Doun is offering free in-home respite upon request.
