The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (MORSL) is partnering with trained wellness facilitators at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ who come from relevant cultural and faith backgrounds to offer space for faith-based groups to help ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ studentsÌýmanage the spiritual and emotional distressÌýsurrounding events in the Middle East and in the news or social media.
This group is forÌýstudents who identify asÌýJewish across the faith and cultural spectrum as well as different levels of observance. Group discussion is facilitated by ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ wellness professionals who are Jewish-identified, and is supported by MORSL staff with special contributions from Rabbi Ellen Greenspan, one of MORSL's volunteer Jewish faith leaders from the Montreal community. The group is grounded in the principles of confidentiality and mutual respect. No electronic devices permitted.
There are several sessions planned over the semester that you can join. Each session is unique - you do not have to have attended a previous session to join an upcoming session. You also do not have to attend all the sessions.
You have the option of attending in-person or by remote. If participating remotely, please ensure you are in a private space and that you will not be interrupted nor overheard.
