Held January 26-29, 2018 at Monument-National, Opera ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ took to the highlands of Scotland for their latest production,ÌýLucia di Lammermoor. On top of the talents of Opera ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ and the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Symphony Orchestra, the opera featured the work of director Patrick Hansen, conductor Stephen Hargreaves, set designer Vincent Lefèvre, costume designer Ginette Grenier, light designer Serge Filiatrault, make-up artist Florence Cornet, and hair stylist Réjean Forget.

Loosily based on Sir Walter Scott's historical novelÌýThe Bride of Lammermoor, the opera tells the story of a young woman in love completely isolated by the Scottish society that surrounds her. Lucia's tragedy is that when confronted with a forced marriage which would betray her true love, she sees no alternative but to strike out violently.Ìý
