International Training Course on Neuroimaging of Epilepsy (Virtual)
The 5th International Training Course on Neuroimaging of Epilepsy will be held virtually at the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre of the Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital (The Neuro).
The goal of our course is to provide participants with an understanding of fundamentals and practical skills related to state-of-the-art MR imaging in epilepsy. In addition to offering methodological insights, we place emphasis on clinical decision-making and translation to local settings.
Our course is endorsed by the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) as one of the activities for the new competency-based curriculum and provides Level 2 competencies (also covering level 1 and 3).
For the didactic portion, participants will have access to pre-recorded Zoom lectures a few weeks before the course, in order to view them at their convenience, thereby accommodating various time zones. Each day will begin with a 1-hour Question and Answer (Q&A) period about specific lectures.
The teaching session will consist of case review of MRI data of epilepsy patients, including both visual and computer-assisted analyses. We will also have a session on diffusion MRI and resting-state and task-based fMRI, covering pre-processing and case presentations.
