Anita Gagon wins Award of Excellence

Prestigious national award recognizes stellar leadership and innovation.

The Ingram School of Nursing (ISoN) is proud to announce that our Associate Dean and Director, Anita Gagnon, RN, MPH, PhD, is the 2023 recipient of the Academic Administrative Excellence Award. Presented by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing, this prestigious award recognizes and celebrates individuals who are leaders in academic nursing management in Canada who have met significant challenges and developed innovative strategies to strengthen the quality of nursing academic programs at the university level.ÌýÌý

Since 2015, Prof. Gagnon has overseen a period of remarkable growth and development at the School. Highlights of her tenure include the move in 2017 from Wilson Hall to modern, bright and spacious facilities at 680 Sherbrooke West, expansion of the number of faculty and staff, the introduction of the Bachelor of Nursing Integrated Online Program – ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s first fully online program – donor support for innovative projects such as the ISoN’s network of community nurse-led clinics, and the establishment of the Office of Social Accountability in Nursing.Ìý
