ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University, including its Macdonald Campus, is known throughout Canada and around the world for conducting pioneering and innovative research. At Macdonald, more than one-quarter of our students are graduate students, making the campus a hub for discussion and debate regarding issues of the environment of natural and human-influenced ecosystems, biosciences and bioproducts for the benefit of society, food, food safety, nutrition and health. Graduate programs are offered by all the academic units on the Macdonald Campus.

Economic systems touch our lives in many ways every day and are central to society at home and around the world. The Master of Science in Agricultural Economics allows students to specialize, by way of their research program, in the areas of agribusiness, resource economics, development, finance, marketing, trade, policy, or environmental economics. Students will gain opportunities for internships in international organizations such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and more.

The program provides students with a strong foundation to pursue higher academic studies in the aforementioned research areas. Graduates of this program have also found employment with environmental organizations within the government (e.g., Environment and Climate Change Canada, Natural Resources Canada, Dairy Farmers of Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada), non-profit organizations, and the private sector, including the multi-billion-dollar agri-food industry.
