The Education Building was constructed in 1971 by the firm of Ellwood, Aimers, and Henderson in response to ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ's growing need for space. This seven-storey, brick and concrete structure, which stretches between McTavish and Peel Streets, is quite close toÌý, which is also devoted to the Faculty of Education.Ìý
ÌýAlthough it is a modern building, its many tiered levels and brick facing allow it to blend with the older mansions around it with respect to shape and size. In this structure, more attention has been paid to detail than in other recent University projects. The Education Building is unusual in that it possesses a brick exterior, a feature which makes the edifice less austere than some of the other modern campus projects.Project Description:Ìý
