Project Scope:

The Gate House is a four story building connected to the Lyman Duff building by a passageway on the third floor and located on Ave des Pins. It was formerly used for wet labs but has been unoccupied for several years. MNI requested the project to move in bio-informaticians of the Single-Cell Neurobiology Unit. A pre feasibility study was done and the project can provide 36 workspaces.


This project consists in a complete interior renovation to transform the wet labs into dry labs (workstations and offices) and have the building comply to code.

The work include:

  1. New layouts and new finishes
  2. New mechanical, electrical and data systems and connecting the systems to the Lyman Duff building
  3. Partial demolition and new stairs
  4. Second toilette and a kitchenette
  5. Furniture
