Abstract: In recent years, clinical brain research has increasingly taken advantage of the principles of network theory to study the macroscopic organization of the normally developing brain and its breakdown in various brain diseases. This talk will provide an overview of work going on at the ۲ݮƵ Centre for Integrative Neuroscience in the areas of normal development, autism and Alzheimer’s disease that demonstrate the broad applicability of “connectomics” analysis. The talk will also review large-scale neuroinformatics initiatives across ۲ݮƵ, across Canada and internationally that are applying these analytic strategies.
