Online Cutting Edge Lecture in Science: Interrogating free-ranging birds using cutting-edge techniques

Wild birds can act as barometers for ecosystem health, but decoding information provided by bird populations is challenging. We are using the world's smallest bird-borne marine cameras, accelerometers, GPS loggers and other gizmos to monitor the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ health of our planet. By following wild birds into remote deep sea and polar environments, we are learning about the birds themselves and the ecosystems they inhabit, and how both are responding to a ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ environment.Â
