Only a few days left to donate to the Redpath Museum's Virtual Fossil kit!

Thanks very much for your donations to the Museum during to create a:

Virtual Fossil and Dinosaur Teaching Kit

This campaign finishes on May 25, 2020. With your continued support we can develop and create more e- resources for teachers and children everywhere to learn about the amazing world of Mesozoic dinosaurs, Devonian flora and ancient Ordovician sea life. All from the Redpath Museum!

Even though we are at home we have online access to an incredible variety of local fossils that lived in the 400 million year old coral sea that is now the St. Lawrence Lowlands; hundreds of paleobotanical samples from the world's first land plants that grew in the Gaspé area; and a few breath-taking replicas of Canadian dinosaurs from western Canada. While some of our fossils are used for research by global experts (see the recent research by former Museum grad student Alex Dececchi here), many more of them have stories of historical intrigue and paleontological importance that resonate with the teaching community and the general public!

With your generous support we are building those stories to make them accessible and fun with a suite of virtual online educational resources that can be used at home or in the e-classroom every day.
