FULL: Forest Bathing: Walk on Mount Royal for ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ students
Join guide-in-training, Jacky Farrell (ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Science Outreach), for a Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) walk on Mount Royal. Forest Bathing helps us slow down, open our senses and follow our curiosities. What a great way to take a nourishing break and recharge as we move into the end of fall. This activity is part of ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ's Biodiversity Plan 2030.
For ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ students. Meet on the front steps of the Education Building (3700 McTavish St.) at 9:50Ìý²¹³¾ to check in. We’ll be leaving at 10:00 sharp.
Registration required by November 13th at noon. Space is limited so please honour your commitment.
Details:
- There will be no bathrooms on the walk so please plan ahead. There are bathrooms available in the Education Building.
- Bring a water bottle, bug spray if needed, dress warmly and appropriately for the weather, and wear shoes/boots for walking on dirt, leaves and maybe snow (!) - uphill and up three separate flights of stairs.
This walk will be postponed in the event of heavy rain or snow/ice. You'll receive an email on the 13th to confirm or postpone.
