The Race Caucus at the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ School of Social Work (SSW) is a newly formedÌýgroup that aims to create a space for its members to critically explore howÌýrace, racialization, and racism operates in social work education, pedagogy,Ìýand research, and in turn, advocates for the development and implementationÌýof responsive, needs-based interventions within the SSW.
This caucus buildsÌýon past and ongoing organizing efforts byÌýracialized students, staff, and faculty members at the School, including theÌýRacialized Students Network.Ìý The caucus will meet every second Friday of the month with our first meeting scheduled forÌýSeptember 11thÌýat 11:30 am.
Membership: Members of the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ SSW community who self-identify asÌýracialized, Black, Indigenous, and/or a person of colour.
