ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ School of Social Work Race Caucus
The Race Caucus at the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ School of Social Work (SSW) is a newly formed group that aims to create a space for its members to critically explore how race, racialization, and racism operates in social work education, pedagogy, and research, and in turn, advocates for the development and implementation of responsive, needs-based interventions within the SSW. This caucus builds on past and ongoing organizing efforts by racialized students, staff, and faculty members at the School, including the Racialized Students Network.
Membership: Members of the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ SSW community who self-identify as racialized, Black, Indigenous, and/or a person of colour.
If you’re interested in joining the Caucus, please email Dr. Alicia Boatswain-Kyte alicia.kyte [at] mcgill.ca with your name, affiliation to ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ SSW (student, staff, faculty, alumni), and email address.
