Annual International Fieldwork Symposium international annuel

Thursday, March 21, 2019 17:30to20:30
Thomson House Ballroom, 3650 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 1Y2, CA

SPOT's OT & PT students will present their international clinical learning experiences completed during their M1/M2 year, starting at 6:00 p.m. This is part of the post-learning experience requirement for SPOT’s international fieldwork program. Following this panel-style presentation, the room will be set up with 'Speed Learning Stations' so that prospective junior students interested in applying to complete an international fieldwork experience may have the chance to explore and ask questions to the presenters on as many diverse fieldwork experiences as possible during the evening.

OT - Following the panel presentation, Professor Caroline Storr (academic coordinator of OT international fieldwork) will be available to clarify OT application procedures, partnership procedures and funding opportunities, and answer related questions. Attendance at this information evening is MANDATORY for all current pre-masters (U3/QY) OT students who want to apply to do an international fieldwork course during their program as well as M1/M2 students who have completed international fieldwork. Prospective, interested applicants currently in U1 and U2 are also encouraged to attend for networking and future planning. This is a great way to learn about exciting fieldwork opportunities and meet other students in this program!

PT - Following the presentations, Professor Adriana Venturini (academic coordinator of PT clinical education) will discuss the process of doing an international placement, as well as answer questions PT students may have. This information evening is OPTIONAL for all current pre-masters (U3/QY) PT students who want to apply to do an international placement in 2020. Please note that there are two application deadlines for current PT students who wish to apply to do an international placement April 29, 2019 and August 2, 2019.
