Self Advocacy: Becoming more comfortable with speaking up

Thursday, January 23, 2025 09:30to10:30
Becoming more comfortable with speaking up

We all know that we should ask for what we need, speak up when something is bothering us, and have healthy boundaries around our work. However doing these things concretely is easier said than done for many of us.  This workshop focuses on helping students understand why this is the case and build skills that will help improve effective and assertive communication as well as boundary setting.  It is designed to give students tools to communicate their interpersonal needs, while nurturing healthy relationships and respecting themselves and others.

Date: Thursday, January 23rd 9:30 -10:30

Location: RI-MUHC Glen Block E - Training room EM1.3509

Please register 24 hours prior to the start of the workshop.
