Overview

Music Professional Development : Audio production techniques for music. Sound recording fundamentals. Creative use of microphones and recording techniques. Console functions. Post-production: ProTools for sound editing and stereo mixing. Practical applications of audio tools, such as filters, equalizers, compressors, reverberators, and special effects. Basic audio to video synchronization. Critical listening skills.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2010-2011 academic year.

  • Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor.
  • Restriction: Enrolment will be limited to 12.
