Overview

Chemistry : Review of the chemistry of various additives used in papermaking, such as wet and dry strength agents, sizing agents, fillers, filler retention aids, antifoam agents, biocides, dyes, dewatering agents, drainage and formation aids. The course also addresses the chemistry of deinking of waste papers and the treatment of effluents.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2011-2012 academic year.
