Program Requirements
This non-credit Professional Development Certificate in Condominium Management is designed to equip new and experienced residential and commercial condominium managers with the knowledge and skills required for successful condominium management including legal, financial, technical and operational aspects of condominium management. This program is recognised by the L'Ordre des administrateurs agr茅茅s du Qu茅bec (ADMA) as a required program for all ADMA members who are practicing condominium managers.

Note: Students taking this Certificate in English normally take English courses while those taking this Certificate in French normally take French courses.

CBUS 100 Condominium Financial Management in Quebec (4 CE units)
Overview
Business : Gain the knowledge and skills required to successfully manage all financial aspects of a condominium. The course will explain the responsibilities of the property manager in budgeting, preparation of financial statements, collection, development of a reserve fund, cash-flow planning, preparation for audit and investments. Working knowledge of Excel is required.

Business : This course will explore the fundamentals of the legislation and regulations governing syndicates of co-owners in Quebec as outlined in the Civil Code of Quebec, including declaration of co-ownership, bylaws, regulations concerning syndicate's finances and operations.

Business : This course will provide an overview of condominium structures and good maintenance practices. Gain a working knowledge of various building systems including plumbing, heating, ventilation, electricity and security. Learn how to resolve problems and effectively communicate solutions, what to do in emergency situations and how to manage projects involving contractors.

CBUS 240 Condominium Law 2 (4 CE units)
Overview
Business : This course explores the rules and regulations affecting condominium management, such as the Security Code, Home Warranty, tax rules, city bylaws, fee recovery, labor law and corporate law as applied to condominiums. In addition, the rules of professional conduct and ethics for condominium managers and directors will be discussed. Students will integrate the knowledge acquired in both Condominium Law in Quebec and Condominium Law II courses by applying it to practical cases from jurisprudence and their own professional experience.
