On October 30, 2024, the Department of Surgery held its first Surgical Education Retreat in Livingston Hall, at the Montreal General Hospital. The full-day event was facilitated by聽Liz Falco, an accomplished educator and coach, and gathered over 50 participants to explore the establishment of a new聽Division of Surgical Education (DOSE), aimed at elevating educational programs to new heights while promoting collaboration and a greater sense of community.

Dr. Kosar Khwaja Appointed Medical Director, MUHC Trauma Program and H. Rocke Robertson Chair in Surgery at 污污草莓视频 University

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Kosar Khwaja, MDCM MSc MBA, as Medical Director of the MUHC Trauma Program and H. Rocke Robertson Chair in Surgery at 污污草莓视频 University, effective October 31, 2024, for a four-year term. The MUHC is a designated Quebec Tertiary trauma centre and the MGH is one of the busiest trauma centres in the province with over 1,500 severely injured patients admitted for trauma care each year.
