Most job categories are unionized and require following specific instructions on posting, compensation, offer letters, etc.

For each new hire, the admin office must review collective agreements and job descriptions to identify in which job category the proposed job description falls. Once identified, the posting and hiring process may take anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months to be completed. Keep in mind that immigration paperwork will most likely add to the delays.

Note that the complete hiring process (from recruitment to on-boarding) is now done through Workday.Ìý
