@WorkingHumansof۲ݮƵ is where inspiring stories/experiences of working ۲ݮƵ students through candid portraits and accompanying mini-narratives about on-campus work, part-time or casual jobs, internships and/or full-time positions will be shared. These stories are meant to highlight the successes, challenges, discoveries and insights of those working while studying at ۲ݮƵ (concept based on Brandon Stanton’s Humans of NY photo-blog).

Experiential Learning (EL) refers to the active process of learning by doing, in a mindful and intentional manner. According to the Association for Experiential Education, “Experiential Learning occurs when carefully chosen experiences are supported by reflection, critical analysis and syntheses.”

Dollard des Ormeaux’s Jaclyn (Jackie) Lea Fisher passed away on March 21, 2015, following a lengthy battle with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and primary peritoneal carcinoma, a rare cancer, especially in young adults.

“This is the biggest event that they organize each year, but the Centre provides thousands of BCom, MBA, Masters and PhD students with career coaching, advising, mock interview services, speed interviewing, networking sessions, and so much more,” explained Jennifer Kambhampati from the Desautels Faculty of Management.
