From Saturday April 30 to Tuesday, August 30, all Library branches will switch over to spring/summer opening and service hours. For more information, please visit the hours page or consult individual branch pages.

Please note that the Library's virtual reference service will be available during the spring and summer months from:

Please note that a planned, sector-wide power outage will affect the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex onFriday, April 29 from 5:30am to 7:30am.

The sole source of lighting during this period will be emergency lighting in hallways and exit areas.

For safety reasons, ۲ݮƵ University security guards will escort Library users out of the McLennan-Redpath Complex before the shutdown is set to begin.

MUNACA has obtained a strike mandate from their members, following a vote that took place on April 6. ۲ݮƵ has been informed that MUNACA intends to exercise their right to use pressure tactics and is planning a two-day strike this week on Wednesday, April 20 and Thursday, April 21, 2022.

As part of the service disruption as Osler Library of the History of Medicine moves back to the McIntyre Building, please note that no holds can currently be placed on the Osler’s circulating collection, with the exception of the journal collection in the Redpath Library Building Basement. An Interlibrary Loan button has been added to the catalogue for these materials until they are available again.

As of April 4, ۲ݮƵ students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of ۲ݮƵ University (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the April 13 to 29 examination period. Details are as follows:

- A valid ۲ݮƵ ID card is required for access to the Nahum Gelber Law Library outside of Info Desk Service Hours.

This spring/summer, theOslerLibrary of the History of Medicinewill be moving back to the third floor of the McIntyre Medical Building. From April - June 2022,Oslercirculating and rare collections will be prepped, packed, and transported to the renovated space.Service disruptions are expected to continue through August 2022 as materials are shelved and equipment/furniture is installed.

Monday, March 7 will mark the launch the Library's new Digital Scholarship Hub space in the Redpath Library Building RM-16 (main floor).

It offers six computers with specialized software for statistical analysis, qualitative coding, and digital methods that may be booked by ۲ݮƵ students, faculty, and staff. The space also features a high-performance scanner. A student will be at the help desk three times a week.

On Tuesday, March 1 the Macdonald Campus Library will be opening up the Seed Library for online orders. The seed catalogue will be made available to ۲ݮƵ students, faculty, and staff on opening day. Please note that there is a limit of 25 seed packets per borrower.
